Battle of the Bars
Battle of Bars Boosts Boys & Girls Club and Sister Season Fund Missions— August 2018. This year’s Battle of the Bars benefactors – Boys and Girls Clubs of the Keys Area, Inc. and Sister Season Fund— pause amid the flurry of fun at the Schooner Wharf Bar event that took place Sunday, August 5th, where local bar squadron relay teams of seven tapped kegs, mixed margaritas, sorted recyclables, and ran through obstacle courses while consuming alcohol— all in the name of charity. Pictured left to right are Mayor Craig Cates, Boys & Girls Club Board Chair Bill Archer and Assistant Executive Director Susan Kent, Schooner Wharf Bar Proprietor and event sponsor Evalena Worthington, Sister Season Fund Board President Julie Hanson and Board member Ryan Macauley, City Manager Jim School, Boys & Girls Club Operations Director Cece Williamson and Executive Director Dan Dombroski.
